The TRIP is the mental projection of my digital self. Including all areas of digital work I have been involved with, including Music, video, photography...
All good web pages must have the collection of absolutely useless pictures. Designed for no purpose other than to consume kilobits. And hopefully show off some of my Photographic skills. Web design skills, and uses one php script to drive the whole index. Also see the Photography section of the Silicontrip Website.
The Creative section of the TRIP is my imagination trying to run free. I have a fascination with sexual, spiritual and meta physical abilities, and these stories show it.
Part of the images directory contains some of my digital artwork. These images have been created or enhanced by myself, with the help of the 1s and 0s machine.

Ok so I discovered this a few months ago. However the FFMpegX build of ffmpeg does not contain the latest libraries (not that this will be a problem for long) However I decided to write my own YUV4MPEG writer based on the libav video decoding library.
So while converting a bunch of WMV3 files I discovered I needed to use the old mkfifo trick with mplayer, rather than the nicer stdio method using ffmpeg.
But now I don't need to worry since I have written my own libav 2 yuv converter. I may even put it up on my mjpeg tools page.
And that reminds me, I've also wrote a frame rate converter that performs simple fractional frame rate conversions by dropping 1 frame out of every X. By analysing X frames and dropping the frame which is the most like the previous.
Why is this useful? I hear you ask. 2-3 pulldown removal is one thing this program can do. So what yuvkineco can do that very well. But unfortunately yuvkineco cannot convert material convert from PAL25 to NTSC30 by means of frame doubling, where as this program can. I would like to integrate it into yuvfps. As my yuvafps is now redundant that yuvfps has weighted average conversion. :-)
And not to forget, I also wrote a sequence analyser that can detect various types of frame rate conversion. I just need to automate it somehow.
I may put this code online soon.
